"Let your walks now be a little more adventurous."

- Henry David Thoreau

This is the home of FIeld Epidemiology, a summer course offered by the University of Nebraska's Cedar Point Biological Station. The course provides students with a background in the basic principles of epidemiology, but does so in an unconventional way.

Our classroom consists of the fields, streams, and prairies of Western Nebraska. We apply some of the same tools used by real-world epidemiologists to make sense of the complex relationships between diseases and populations.

To learn more about the course, follow the links above. They include a detailed syllabus and course outline, photos from past classes, a video presentation by the course instructor, and a link to the Cedar Point home page with registration information.

We hope you will take the opportunity to come learn with us!
